Existing Industry Outreach Program

Systematically collecting, analyzing and acting upon predictive data and information, building relationships, determining growth plans, ascertaining community problems and the need or desire for assistance, perception and level of awareness the company may have of Tri-ED in order to help a business to survive, thrive, and convey to the company a genuine feeling of appreciation. Tri-ED’s industry outreach program serves in a complimentary manner to the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and local governmental units existing industry development programs.

Ombudsman

In conjunction with the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and local governmental units, Tri-ED’s existing industry program serves as an ombudsman for industry on an as needed basis.

Support of Local and State Industrial Associations

Tri-ED’s existing industry program actively participates in local industrial associations (e.g. NKY Industrial Park Association, Airport Area Industrial Association, and Northern Kentucky Manufacturers’ Association) and statewide associations (AIK).

Research

Tri-ED’s existing industry program works cooperatively with the University of Kentucky Center for Manufacturing and local businesses as well as other industry research resources.

Ongoing Relationship with Other Service Agencies

Tri-ED’s existing industry program continues to foster strong working relationships with other governmental and public-private agencies that provide services to existing industry. Such agencies as the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, Department for Employment Services, One Stop Center, Department for Adult Education, Department for Technical Education, Gateway Community and Technical College, Northern Kentucky University, Cincinnati State, NKY Chamber of Commerce, research universities and other similar agencies.

Industry Recognition

Tri-ED’s existing industry program continues to support public relations efforts, which promote benefits of industry in Northern Kentucky’s economy. Such activities will include ICN-6 television programs, joint participation in industry related events (e.g. LEGO Robotics Tournament); and, similar public relation actions.

Training and Workforce Development

Tri-ED’s existing industry program continues to support the training and workforce development needs of our Northern Kentucky industries. Tri-ED helps to coordinate training applications for Bluegrass State Skills grant and tax credit programs for area industry. Additionally, Tri-ED serves as a workforce training resource for companies implementing training plans.

Industry Expansions

In cooperation with Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and local governmental units, Tri-ED’s Vice Presidents serve as project managers for existing industry expansions in addition to projects involving companies locating to our area.
