Utilities

Northern Kentucky has all the resources in place to deliver a high level of service for all types of users. From redundant power and broadband availability in some areas, to new waste water treatment plants in others, maintaining our utility infrastructure is a priority. Utility providers work closely with the business community to ensure needs are met and downtime is avoided.

Duke Energy Kentucky and Owen Electric Cooperative provide electric service to residential, commercial and industrial users throughout the three county region. Northern Kentucky Water District and Boone County Water District are the primary providers of water in the region. Additional information about water service is available here.

Sanitation District No. 1 provides sanitary sewer services for Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties. Additional detail about waste water treatment is found here.

Broadband Internet and telephone service is provided by several carriers, including Cincinnati Bell and TW Telecom and Insight (Cable).
