How to use this site

Northern Kentucky Tri-ED is setting the standard for providing a thorough resource for you to collect information on our region.  This new resource will allow you to collect demographics on the region, taxes, incentives, major companies, transportation, quality of life and more. Create an account within our web site to collect information vital to your needs.  Follow the steps provided or contact us for assistance.

 

Creating an account and building projects

As you click through this site you will start to find pages, documents and even buildings or sites that interest you. We have provided a convenient way for you to build a project folder on this site to store all of this information in so that you can refer back to it at a later date.

Once you have created a project you can navigate the site as you would normally and add items to it as you go along. You can share projects with friends, co-workers or clients.

Steps to creating a project:

  1. Create a user account (click here)  and/or login
    Once logged in your project login box (see image on the right) will show a drop down list of you projects and links to add a page, add a project etc.
  2. Add a new Project.
    Click add project in your project box. This will take you to a form where you can add your project. Fill in the form and click the add project button. You should now see you project in the My Projects drop down list in your project box (fig 1)

Adding Items to a Project and Viewing

  1. Add a page to a project
    When you are on a page you would like to add to a project click the Add Page link in your project box (fig 1), this will take you to a form (see fig 2) to fill in. Select the project you wish to add the page to, fill in the link name box and click add link.
  2. Viewing a project
    To view your project select the project you wish to view in the project box(fig 1) and click the view button
  3. Adding a file to your project
    Simply click the  icon next to a file that you want to add to your project. Fill in the form that you are taken to and the file will be added to your project
  4. Adding a site or building to your project
    After finding a site or building using the site selection tool you can add a building to your project by simply clicking the add building link (see fig 3 red link) at the top of every building or site page. This will take you to a form that will allow you to add the item to your project.
  5. Sharing a project
    It is likely that after creating a project you will want to share that with someone. To do this click the share project link in your project box (fig 1). This will take you to a form that will allow you to select your project, and send a secure link via email to the person you wish to share with. There is a space for you to add a note to this email to explain why you are sending them the link etc.
